Keeping up the energy in the studio May 12, 2012
Posted by Steve , trackbackThere are many stories of the antics of musicians in the studio. When you spend time in one, you start to get the idea why;
no windows, no concept of time, laborious details, it’s enough to drive anyone crazy let alone those of the creative sort. Recently, we’ve been in the studio working on ‘Where The Journey Begins’. We’ve been working with Dan Middleton at Digitracks.
So what of our antics? Expecting some kind of reference to illegal substances? Nope. Cookie Cottage. Bryan determined, in the middle of the session that he absolutely needed cookies from Cookie Cottage. Rapidly, money was gathered. Sondra, from Digitracks rushes out to hunt down said cookies. Unfortunately Cookie Cottage was CLOSED! Chocolate Eclairs were had instead, all was well for the rest of the session.
I’m excited about where these tracks are heading. I think it’s the best material the band has recorded and I’m very much looking forward to sharing it with you all.
