The countdown begins for Mae’s arrival August 26, 2007

I have read that the ‘average’ weight gain for pregnant women is somewhere between 25 to 30 pounds….???????
I gained 90 with Harrison (he was 10.3)
60 with Gabriel (he was taken two weeks early and already at 8.6) and
I am up to 40 with Mae….I would not be suprised if my kids came out with teeth and a bib…When we brought Harrison into the natal unit at the hospital, he looked more like a 3 month old….
He ate every other hour for an hour on my breast, when it came to the second week of not sleeping I spoke with a the nurse on the phone…in despeation I asked if I could begin to feed him some oatmeal with his milk…she said no, that I was just going to have to stick with it…to which I yelled at her ‘put someone on the phone who’s actually given birth to a 10 pound baby’…needless to say, once my children reach 8 pounds I give them food….
Hell, I’d give them a steak if it meant I could sleep.
The countdown begins for Mae’s arrival.
e-mailed Brian May to let him know he was the inspiration..
Harrison and Gabriel are excited to have a little sister…
send your good thoughts and blessings~ thanks for all your support~ Mimi

When I wrote that last email about the album, I had only heard the
first four songs. On 7/27 as I drove home I put the CD in and skipped
ahead to song #5 – Sarah Rose (For Amelia). Mimi, I could not hold
back my tears and I wept like I had lost Amelia. Even now, I can’t
even THINK of that song without getting choked up. Now, maybe I’m
more emotional because we’re expecting a baby girl and having a
stillbirth is one of our fears, but I think I’d be moved even if we
weren’t pregnant. You have gone, in my mind, from being a talented
singer-songwriter to an Artist. The lyrics are so sad, yet
semi-uplifting, and the melody is uplifting over the minor chord
changes. Perfect. But that’s not why it’s so moving. It’s the tone
of your voice, the timbre of the pipes, the rhythm of the guitar – all
together. There didn’t even need to be any lyrics because the
SOUND makes me feel what she was feeling – sorrow, loss and hope.
I’ve heard it said that Irish music is so unique and moving because
the melodies are happy and the lyrics are sad. You have done that
with this song. It’s just great, and I’m sharing the album with all
the folks around me who appreciate music.

You are a great guy Greg! Thanks and blessings to your new family~ Mimi
